The collar drag takedown is a quick grappling move where you pull your opponent forward by their collar while stepping aside, causing them to lose balance and fall.
Drill Steps

Establish your grips.
- Get a cross collar grip on your opponent
- Control their same-side sleeve

Create an angle by stepping out.
- Step your lead foot out on the grip side
- This creates space for the drag

Pull the collar and sleeve across your body.
- Imagine crossing their arm like an arm drag
- Aim to pull them off balance towards your side

Fall to your elbow as you drag.
- Maintain an athletic base on your elbow
- Avoid falling flat onto your shoulder

Finish the takedown.
- Get to an athletic position to drive them down
- Gather their leg to run them over and secure top position
