This drill focuses on setting up a knee cut pass by turning your opponent away, breaking their defensive posture, and maintaining tight pressure for an easy finish.

Drill Steps

Turn your opponent away from you.

  • approach and rotate their body
  • aim to turn them to the center or slightly away

Create space from their knee shield.

  • ensure their knee is disconnected from their chest
  • pull their knee open if it is tight

Shoot your arm and connect your shoulder to their chest.

  • drive your shoulder directly into their chest
  • maintain tightness upon connection to prevent pushing

Finish the knee cut pass.

  • grab their close arm
  • post your free hand for stability
  • drive your knee through to complete the pass
