Drill Steps

Establish your first cross-collar grip.
- Reach deep with your dominant hand
- grip high on the opponent's collar, thumb inside

Break your opponent's posture.
- Pull their head down towards your chest
- use your legs to control their hips

Establish your second collar grip.
- Use your non-dominant hand
- grip the same-side collar as your first hand, thumb-in and deep

Create an angle for the choke.
- Perform a small hip escape to the side of your top hand
- bring your knees towards your chest to keep them tight

Finish the choke.
- Pull both hands towards yourself while squeezing your elbows together
- push with your legs if in closed guard to maintain pressure
