Drill Steps

Control your opponent's head from mount.

  • Place your choking arm deep under their neck
  • Hook your fingers near their armpit

Deepen your choking arm's position.

  • Climb your hands up their body
  • Move your head to the other side
  • Pull their arm up and shoot your hand deeper under their neck

Dismount to the side.

  • Transition from mount to a side control position

Lower your body and eliminate all space.

  • Get your body super low
  • Place your weight beside them, not on top
  • Ensure no space between your arm and their neck

Apply light pressure to finish the choke.

  • Squeeze gently to get the tap
  • Minimal strength is needed with good technique
