Drill Steps

Break your opponent's balance.

  • Pull their sleeve and lapel upwards.
  • Shift their weight onto their heels.
  • Lean your body weight on them.

Execute the reaping motion.

  • Step your lead leg forward.
  • Place your reaping leg behind their ankle.
  • Use a large semicircular motion with your reaping leg.

Maintain correct head positioning.

  • Look over the shoulder opposite to your reaping leg.
  • Avoid keeping your head on the same side as your reaping leg.
