Elbow Escape from Bottom Mount

This drill teaches you to escape from the bottom of mount by using effective frames to create space and recover guard.
Drill Steps
1
Establish frames and keep distance.
- Keep your elbows tight to your body
- Place your forearms on their hips
- Keep one leg straight
- The other legs goes outside of the hips
2
Bridge your hips up to create initial space.
- Push off the mat with your feet
- Lift your opponent slightly off your chest

Shrimp your hips out to one side.
- Push off your framing arm
- Create an angle between your body and theirs
- Keep your bottom leg close to the ground by rotating your hill to point up
4
Bring your bottom knee inside their mount.
- Slide your knee through the created space
- Drive your knee and connect it with your elbow
5
Turn to your side and shrimp again.
- Continue to push with your frame
- Create more space to bring the second knee in
6
Recover to half guard or full guard.
- Bring your second leg inside their mount
- Establish a strong connection with your legs
