Escape a no-gi Kimura from top guard by either stripping the grip or creating space to pass.
Drill Steps
1
When opponent secures Kimura, place your knee on their elbow.
- Use your knee to strip their grip
- Maintain top pressure

If grip is still strong, pin their arm at the elbow with your knee.
- Pull your shoulder back to create space
- Keep their arm isolated

Come around the opponent's head.
- Get chest to chest
- Begin a passing sequence

Immediately come through for a cross face.
- Secure head control
- Prevent opponent from regripping
