Drill Steps
1
Start in half guard or camping position.
- Be prepared for your opponent to frame or push.
- Set up with your opponent pushing into you.

Lean into your opponent's frame.
- Make your intentions obvious to create an opening.
- Force a reaction from your opponent.

Fall to the side and catch the neck.
- Get your secondary hand ready to pull down on the bicep.

Slip your primary choking arm deep.
- Position your hand high behind their head.
- Push your arm up into their neck.

Bring your secondary hand as high as possible
- Keep your secondary hand high, close to your head.

Drop your chin low to prevent an escape
- Reduce the space around their head for maximum tightness.
- Cover the lowest point possible with your chin.

Finish the D'Arce choke.
- Squeeze your elbow to your body tightly.
- Fall to your hip or sprawl to increase pressure.
